The hips are the largest and most versatile joints in the body. Alignment of the hips brings freedom to our spine, knees, ankles, and addresses our gait and posture. 
Activity of everyday life, coupled with emotional and physical stress, is often the culprit for the tightness and discomfort of our hips. Most low back pain or discomfort is caused by a tight PSOAS muscle. In this class we will delve deep into increasing mobility in all movements of the hips using traditional yoga poses and myofascial release techniques. Myofascial release is done gently, over the clothing, loosening the connective tissue that surrounds muscles and joints allowing for a deeper form of the pose.
Come join us in releasing the issues in the tissues through awareness, breath, and technique. You will leave lighter in body and mind. Space is limited to 12 and always fills so please secure your spot!

This class is designed to teach the non-yogi or beginner yoga student the basics of yoga. We will cover common asanas along with variations and modifications. Learn how breath work and meditation can deepen your practice. Students will be ready to develop a home practice and/or feel comfortable taking their own practice to any yoga class.
